A non- exempt position responsible for nursing care under the supervision of physicians and Director of Nursing. Provides basic patient care as ordered. Administers medications and treatments as directed. Obtains, verifies, and records health history of patients. Gathers pertinent health data through physical assessments and biological samples. Documents assessments and other pertinent personal health information in electronic medical record. promotes wellness by providing patient education materials and communicates physician advise/instructions. Skills include handling multiple tasks simultaneously; reading and following written and oral medical orders. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and diverse patient populations. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology and psychopathology. Familiarity with health care systems, regulations, policies and functions. Understanding of documentation standards. Occasional exposure to communicable diseases and bio hazards. Daily standing, squatting, walking and bending. May require lifting up to 50 pounds. Ability to maintain safe and efficient patient care in a fast paced clinic setting. Must speak proficient English and have above average keyboarding skills. Minimum high school diploma; and at least one year’s LVN experience in a medical setting.
